Who can register on the portal?
The portal is open to any business wishing register its capabilities relevant to the region, to receive tender information directly and connect with other businesses. However, Resource Industry Network reserve the right to refuse the registration of a business should it be deemed not directly linked to the sector or the region.
What are the costs involved?
The following is the pricing Structure for a twelve month subscription:
- Free to Resource Industry Network Members
- Mackay Chamber of Commerce Members:
- Tier 1 – $600
- Tier 2 – $750
- Tier 3 – $850
- Non Members: $1000

What happens once I have registered?
Resource Industry Network will approve your registration once you have paid the registration fees or joined Resource Industry Network as a member. You will then be able to log on and access your profile to update your details and select business categories to receive notification or relevant opportunities.
Am I guaranteed work by registering?
No you are not guaranteed work, but to ensure you receive information about all relevent opportunities complete the business categories section in detail and complete each section in your profile, clearly outlining your capabilities.
Do I have to be based in Mackay to register?
No, as long you have direct links to the region you are welcome to pay the registration costs or become a member of Resource Industry Network to access the portal.
Which companies list tenders on the portal?
Currently we are sourcing opportunities from a number of locations.
Is there assistance in writing my capabilities for my profile?
The Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning Mackay Isaac Whitsunday Regional Office is offering a free service where businesses can opt to provide a copy of their current Business Capability Statement and receive feedback in relation to the content and layout of the document. A DSDIP officer will also note areas that may benefit from the provision of further information or a change to the information supplied.
